ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Employment Opportunities. The STE Hydrail Commuter System encompasses the operations of the commuter system, all Community Opportunity Stations, maintenance, planning and administrative support.  Hundreds of jobs are created by the system.

Community Opportunity Stations. Each Community Opportunity Center(COS) becomes a business opportunity for large and small businesses, community services, meeting sites, education and training.  Each COS name designation will be that of a different country, encouraging new entrepreneurial ideas and activities.

Affordable Housing. There is a great affordable housing need throughout the country that STE has dedicated itself. The sustainable villages that are part of each COS provides individuals, couples, seniors, financially challenged and others. Easier access to doctors, businesses, residents’ hospital care and other services is only a few steps away to the COS Hydrail commuter boarding platform.

Workforce Connectivity. Population growth and worker access requires the availability of housing.  Unfortunately, that availability is not always adjacent to the work site.  STE is providing a housing alternative with the buildout of Community Opportunity Stations.  Sustainable Village proximity to the COS makes it possible for those living in the sustainable villages to have access to jobs at the COS and anywhere the STE Hydrail Commuter travels without car and travel expenses.

Distance Education. The key to a viable future lies in education, of all kinds.  STE, through its COS, provides a venue through which students of all ages can enroll in coursework individually, virtually, or in COS meeting rooms to expand their educational horizons, plan their career ladder and meet the opportunities that education brings.  COS collaboration with universities and colleges brings this chance for a better quality of life to the COS most convenient to the students’ transportation, economic, family and schedule needs.

Regional Manufacturing. Because of the growing need for services like STE, the demand for solar panel manufacturing and hydrail coach manufacturing is increasing exponentially. STE, through its industrial economic development outreach, is seeking to partner with key international and national companies to establish a Hydrail coach manufacturing facility in its Futures Campus.  Additionally, STE also has the goal to establish a solar panel manufacturing/recycling/refurbishing complex as part of this Futures Campus.  Both endeavors will spawn thousands of jobs and create connections with businesses and cultures around the world.
